Birds nesting in chimneys or stonework can lead to significant damage, as seen in this gable end in West Lothian. The chimney and surrounding stonework required urgent care after birds caused more harm than good to the flues and the internal structure. To rectify the issue, we rebuilt the chimney stack, replaced damaged stones, and performed a full rake-out and repointing using traditional lime mortars, ensuring a durable and authentic finish.
